The Look.

This week Charlotte Lucy Barker has designed and hand made the equestrian themed clothes.  Here is a bit about her and the ideas she has:

I am a young fashion designer currently working in York.

Since leaving college, I have had the opportunity to work for Westlife whilst they were on tour. I was a finalist in the 2008 Yorkshire fashion idol competition, and my final collection has been shown at the knitting and stitching show. For my final collection I also won first prize Merchant Taylors Award.

My main focus is in women’s wear, but I do love to have a play around with men’s wear too. I love to create structure with a garment and really make a feature of the clothes. I love pattern work, to me that is where most of the greatest designs are achieved.

I am currently in the process of starting up my own fashion label, where I want to make one off garments specially designed for my client.
