This week the apps are ones that will really get you working, and then of course there’s one for playtime. Christine looks at Syncopy which allows you to copy things from your iPhone to your computer without any wires (look ma no hands), Local News with Flex which is a great way to read the news about exactly where you are.
Reel Director is a viedo editor with a punch to it – lots to use here and check out their other similar apps, iAnnotate for all your PDF needs, and Chase Mobile to eliminate the need to ever leave the house again! (Well almost). After all those heavy hitters there is Eliminate: Gun Range, which is a fun app that makes use of that gyroscope we keep hearing so much about, happy shooting!

Copy and paste to your iPhone / computer done easily with this app. It’s what shovebox should have been. This is free and it works.

A must have app for anyone using video. I transferred my video using iPhoto and then got busy with this app. It has so many things to offer it really feels like a proper editor and not some lightweight. They have other apps that add filters etc to your videos so you may want to check it out.

Let’s you annotate completely any pdf and you can look at split pages, no more page by page view only! Sign documents and email them, this app has it all – worth looking at their guide or you might miss some features in this huge feature packed app. One of my most used on the iPad.

Hey Ian, I’ve been looking for other finance apps as they seem to vary so much in features and functions. I love the idea though that these apps may start to make real changes in the way we live our lives. Glad you found some apps useful
There are several fantastic apps there Christine. For finances, I know of so many apps, the best of which is perhaps Strands as it connects to so many different banks outside America. I just start that up, update accounts, and I can then see how much money I have in each bank at each account and how much overall. It has a lot of tracking and cashflow analysis tools too so you can see where your money goes.
Personally it’s rare that I need to pay in a cheque, what would be amazing would be amazing and useful to more people would be an app that lets me pay cash into my account! It’s possible with notes at least as they all have serial numbers.
