Firstly apologies, we slightly over ran in this episode, I’m gonna blame Hattie (but truthfully, we wanted to briefly explain a new feature called ‘One More Byte‘… you’ll see)
Well now girls, make your mind up! How many good apps are out there!
This episode takes the girls through the category Social Networking, looking at the apps: Facebook (FREE), Twitterfon (FREE), Twitterfon Pro ($4.99), Twitteriffic (FREE) Twitteriffic Premium ($3.99) and Tweetie ($2.99).
Hattie thinks the Facebook app is actually better than the web interface of Facebook, but will that mean you spend more time on it? Christine just can’t seem to decide between all her Twitter applications (we think she uses far too many!).
Hopefully by the end of this episode you will be far wiser to the Twitter apps, Facebook’s features and of course umm… fairy clothing?
Hope you love the new format as much as we do – and oh – we will release on Friday another sneaky peak for you at what’s coming up the following Friday!
Overview
Facebook FREE Developer: Facebook
Tweetie FREE Developer: Atebits LLC
Twitterfon $2.99 Developer: Kazuho Okui, Naan Studio
Twitteriffic FREE Developer: The Icon Factory
Twitteriffic Premium $9.99 Developer: The Icon Factory
Not sure we want to open this can of worms but – what Twitter client do you use on your iPhone? Do you use the Facebook app already? Are there features missing?

My self and my partner both love this. You give some brilliant advice We found your web site on yahoo and have saved it for future reference.
Hi ‘g’ Well since this show went out TwitterFon decided to have a total re-haul, and now there is no doubt in my mind that the Twitterfon Pro application is the best in this universe and beyond. The support of multiple accounts really cinched it for me and I have now set up an account for all my iPhone app news and developers so I can keep is out from my friend / conversation stream. I wrote a brief post here on the why and the how if you want to have a look.
As far as Facebook goes, it isn’t a feature I ever used but I can’t find a way how to.
I just installed Twitterfon; love it! Question – does the free version allow you to update Facebook through the iphone app?
Have to agree here, Twitteriffic has just released an update and it has some terrific features.
Hop on over to http://www.148apps.com/reviews/twitterific-20/ for a review from Chris Hall. It has so many features it takes some getting used to. Still no chat style DM tho, tsk tsk!
Everyone should try the new Version of twitterfiffic! it is fantastic!
Hey finally – just wait till you see what we got coming up Kov – I think I’ll be getting more this next few
Christine, you get my vote this time
I’m happy to report back that TwitterFon is great! =)
Thanks Laura! Totally the right idea – Download free apps for sure and try them, no harm and you can just delete them, but you might also find a gem there! (thanks loads for the compliment too)
Yeah i totally agree with the twiterfon being the best. I downloaded all the FREE twitter apps to try em all and the others didnt get a look in! Its the only one I ever use. Great show!
Wow girls, looking great! xxx
Might try out TwitterFon later tonight! =)
Hmm good point there Simon about the Facebook app. I suppose folks want it simple. Have you tried Twitterfon? It’s free and you might like the layout. It’s really a top app. (Did I mention that in the review?) :p
Thanks for your comments!!
I use Twitteriffic for my iPod.
I like the layout, and @ replying to someone is easy, just highlight the tweet you want to @ to.. press the button to write a tweet, then press the speech bubble. no need to go on different screens
Oh and Facebook for iPhone would be cool if it allowed me to play my Facebook apps… It is a bit basic right now.
