The clothing featured this week are hand made by Chloe Prorok (Chloe can be contacted on chloeprorok@yahoo.co.uk); a fellow student from Wimbledon School of Art; currently working for the Costume department of Glyndebourne Opera House. It was a replica of a Charles Frederick Worth dress from 1894, currently housed in Kyoto fashion institute in Japan.

Wirdy Developer: Fubii Version:1.0
FREE
This is essentially a pdf finder. You open the app and search for a pdf file that you would like to download. It’s a free app so worth a look at and they have an iPad version too. You can email the pdf and rename it which are useful. It only lists a few search results at a time so you will have to be patient to use it.
They also have a few dedicated apps for Medical, Sport, News and Finance to search for those pdfs with more accurate results.
Print Magic Developer: Wellala, Inc.Version:2.0.1

This app allows you to print images, text, and even web pages directly from your iPad, iPhone or iPod Touch! Print Magic can print almost anything, from any application, with no additional software to install. If you can select it and copy it using the Cut and Paste feature Print Magic can print it — including from applications like Mail, Safari, and of course Photos!
It also allows you to select and print pictures from your Photos Library right from within the Print Magic application.
There is a Free app you can get which does a test so you can see if it will work with your printer which is what I tried first.

The only thing to make note of is I find the formatting can be a bit ‘off’. When I printed my text from the clipboard it seemed to have almost no margins. There will probably be some settings I haven’t been able to find to fix that.
Tower Madness HD Developer: Limbic Version:1.5

This game was brilliant on the iPhone but I like it even more on the iPad. It seems to be made for this size device and they have really stepped it up with this release. there are tonnes of maps and some in app upgrades for weapons and maps. You also have to save a certain number of sheep to unlock maps – and I can tell you this has made me impossibly addicted! Also, the multiplayer is really cool so two can play on one iPad!

This is the same version as the full app but you are limited to 15 forms. There is a huge amount of ready made forms from Passport information, daily journals, loyalty cards and homework tracker. There is also 16 different types of fields that you can use, from text to file attachments to photos and audio. Creating your own form from scratch does take a bit of learning, but to modify their existing ones or just use theirs as they are is a great way to use the free version. The full version does add dropbox integration which isn’t in this lite one.
Trainyard Developer: Matt Rix Version:1.o

This is a great little puzzle game that is challenging and has a great interface. There are over 100 puzzles and you have to get each coloured train to their corresponding coloured stations. Not as easy as it sounds!
There are a few upgrades in the works such as enhanced usability for colourblindness.
I really loved this game right away, the only thing that is holding it back is the tutorial and easy easy levels at the start. It is good to have tutorials, and the style of their tutorials is brilliantly done, but if you are familiar with this style of game then they can be frustrating. I would advice to preserver past those first few levels as the pay off to get to the more complicated puzzles is worth it. Also as I found – I put it on more than one device because I wanted to play it on all my devices but I found I would have to repeat those tutoraials as there was no way to jump straight in, so I didn’t bother. (This may be an upgrade in a later version where it is an option to work through these first few levels).
Overall this game is so beautiful and really easy to use. The puzzles, once you get past the start, are challenging and really require you to think ahead. I also like how the icon looks like candy and I think it’s a total winner & keeper!
Pages Developer: Apple Inc.Version:1.1
This app really adds to having an iPad. You can create and edit documents in a pretty advanced way with this app. There are many text styles, font colours, even effects for photos too. You can save your documents for export in Word formats and PDFs as well as email them or use the super handy iWork.com space. iWork is really great for collaborative documents, as you send it there, and it will email people you want to invite and then you can all edit the document, make notes to each other and work to make it a group document.
If you bought the keyboard to go with your iPad then you will probably use this app a lot. There is also a load of templates to choose from.
It does have no folder structure at the moment and I realise some people will find it difficult but at the moment I am finding it really clean and quick to use, and I see it more for urgent or important working documents rather than storing your entire HDD contents. I really see this as a must have app for the iPad.
