This week sees some fun apps make their way on to the show as well as an awesome photography app and an interesting note taking app that can take location & bar code notes too.

First we look at The Price is Right Developer: Ludia Inc. Version: 1.0.7

$4.99

$4.99 (New 2010 Version)

This is a great game for those of you familiar with the TV show. It stays very close to the actual tv series and has Barkers Beauties too! That was a really nice touch in the game and made it seem much more authentic. Also having the theme tune play really gets you in the mood to play the game. I really liked it and there are two versions now so it seems like they won’t be updating apps, but just making new ones…

Little Bugger Developer : John Lacoviello Version: 1.2

$0.99

FREE

Fun game, simple…

All you have to do is kill the bugs zipping past, but the interface is so minimal and so are the bugs that I really really liked it. I almost wish they had a level where it was far slower though, those bugs are too quick!

Spring Pad Developer: Spring Partners Version:1.0.2

FREE

This is a great note taking app for free. It is heavily linked into the site though and if you don’t have a connection you will find the app unusable unfortunately. In some ways this is good because you sync with their website, so all your data is there and it wants to be your full time note taking service, but for me I really liked just jotting down the scans or locations of things. I’m not sure I will use it as much knowing there is a chance I may not be able to access my data without a connection.

Gluons Developer: 2 Cubed Ltd. Version: 1.1

$0.99 SALE
This game can be pretty insane and I found myself using both hand to try to make as many ‘gluons’ connect as possible. It isn’t a totally slick interface but the gameplay is really fun and addictive, two of my favorite things!
You have to connect as many gluons together before they hit the ground but there are always little bombs and other things being dropped to try and stop you. Action packed quick play game.

TiltShift Generator Developer: Art & Mobile Version: 1.06

$2.99

This app has recently been enhanced for the iPad. It is a photography app that lets you apply depth of field effects to your images. You really need to check out the gallery and have a look at some of the amazing things that people have done with it. It has several other controls such as contrast levels, blurs, saturation, brightness and vignetting.

It is really simple to use and the effects are amazing. You can take a new photo and edit it (iPhone only) or use an existing one on your device.

That’s all this week folks.

Next Episode sees Christine in a little bit of an unusual situation, see you then~

Hi Lauren thanks so much for stopping by, it is maybe an anomaly that when I access it from my iPod touch it asks me to connect and just won’t let me in, I have since put my iPhone on airplane mode, and yes, you can access it without a connection… so just not sure what happened. It’s a great app I like it a lot, and it seems that you can access it without a connection folks – Even better!

  4. Hi, I’m Lauren from Springpad. Thanks for including us in this episode! I just wanted to clarify that you CAN access your saved stuff on the Springpad iPhone app when not connected.
