Well well what have these little angels been up to? Oh ya – looking at apps!

Hope you like what the girls have brought you today, there are plenty of apps, and plenty of laughs as the girls have their most angelic show to date.

Hattie looked at:

iSpy Cameras $0.99 Developer : SKJM

This app lets you have a look at webcams set up all over the world. Some cameras you can control as well. It has all the common device features of swipe and pinch and zoom to look closer. You can also search through the database of cameras by Category, Country, State, City, Keywords, or whether or not they support Pan-Tilt-Zoom (PTZ) remote control.

You can save cameras, favorite them, you can also take a snapshot of the images you see. There is also the ability to rate the camera in case it realy isn’t worth watching.

TED FREE Developer: VenueM

This app brings you all the awe inspiring talks from TED, Technology, Entertainment and Design. You can favorite the ones you watch a lot, and search through to see what captures your attention.

The main screen shows you information about the show, and then the most recently added shows. There are tabs along the bottom so you can watch videos, listen to audio or view those favorites.  A lot of you will already be familiar with the TED talks, but if you aren’t then it really is worth having a look at.

Christine looked at:

Tweet ‘n Walk Pro $0.99 Developer Phase2 Media and the lite version you can try for FREE   is an app that Christine couldn’t wait to get her hands on.

She first reviewed an app by Phase2 Media called email ‘n walk, and at the time, she liked it and wanted one for Twitter. Well here it is. This is an app that she uses mostly as a break time twitter client or when she is on the go. Using it as an accompaniment to what you currently use is great.

It does have everything you would need as a basic Twitter app, but it really is the fun ability to see through as you Tweet where this app comes into it’s own.  There is only one other app on the store at the moment which lists itself as having this functionality, but read it carefully as it only lets you apply this ability to an open program. You write the text and copy it to the app. This app does it all in one! FUN and USEFUL! If you like it and missed our Email ‘N Walk review the first time round here is a link to it on the app store

Flipside $2.99 Developer: Igloo Games

This is a cute little game that you can play on your own or against someone. I think in this mode, where you are against someone, especially if it’s your son and you want to beat them, that this app becomes really fun. The idea is that you have one side of the board where you match the symbols, but be careful because if you match them on the other side, you get skulls and that means more blocks to clear!

This becomes addictive very fast and yet it is a nice pick up and play game that is suitable for all ages.

It’s fun, has very nice graphics, a highly polished game from Igloo who have released some real beauties, notably Dizzy Bee and Christine’s all time favorite, BedBugs (there is now a lite version if you want to give that a try!).

Lastly this episode takes you through another game called Wargame $2.99 Developer: Jemast Software

This game is a good one that seems to get better and better. There is an initial learning curve so you may want to try it when you have a little bit of time to get into it. Once you do it is so worth it! It is like Risk, and adds a whole other dimension to it. You buy the types of troops that you want and then you deploy them. You need boats for the to travel, you can get airplanes and you can even get spies or other fun upgrades that really makes it engaging.

I would suggest having a quick look at their online tutorial and just getting used to the interface to start with. There are many things in game that you might miss such as swipe behaviors etc… Once you have done that it is easy to play. I like this game a lot and since they added their help tutorials it really is worth a look at.

Region capture 3

Hope you enjoy all these apps, and please let us know if there are any of your favorites that we have yet to cover! There are so many brilliant apps out there I wish we had a much longer show!

Happy Holidays everyone

Does Wargame talk to you in a funny old-computer-style voice like in the 80′s film? “Would. you. like. a. game. of. thermonuclear. war”? If so, I want it!!
