This is a space shooter game. You buy upgrades for your weapons and defend your space base station. It integrates both RTS and shooter for a fun combination of action that you wont get tired of easily.
When I loaded the game to play it, my intention was to just have a quick go and then play later when I had more time. The game had other plans! With this game you can get into it really quickly and the upgrades make it both really fun and addictive.
This is a game I won’t let my kids play (just yet) as I want to power in some high scores and save cash for the best upgrades. Once they get their hands on it I know my device will be gone for a while! It’s great for all ages.
It’s is simple and the game play is intuitive. As you are being attacked, you kill the approaching ships. There are also things like a ‘money’ ship that if you kill its worth a lot more cash to you. As you run out of one weapon you need to wait for it to reload and you can also switch to a new weapon.
I like the design of the interface and the sound effects are great too.
Information from the developer says that there were 99 levels but now they have made it to infinity. I have not yet reached that level so I can’t confirm, but at that price 99 levels is crazy good anyway to keep you busy.
To fault this game I really can’t see any that are worth mentioning. There is a text screen that comes up between every level with some sentence on it, but it seems out of place or just makes no sense what-so-ever, not sure why it’s there.
The help files explain each are well so you know what to do, but really if you jump straight into the game you will be fine. If you then need help to understand or work something you can dip into the help files.
Overall this is a great little game that gives you more then a typical shooter. The upgrades are fun and there is enough fight in this game to keep you happy for a long time. I’m keeping it on my phone until I get to the end!
