Free turn-by-turn voice navigation – worth the price?

Just wanted to give this app a mention as it may be an option for people thinking of getting a Turn-By-Turn voice navigation app. It’s free, and that will make folks have a look, but the reviews are mixed. Some people complain that there are in app purchases that you may need to have all the features, so you may end up spending a small amount on it anyway. If you are looking for this style app it may be worth a try before you commit to one of the big boys (Tom Tom or CoPilot etc…). Note this app only operates in portrait mode as well so it may be a bit awkward if you are used to the landscape view. Having said that – it’s free!

It’s a nice alternative if you don’t want to spend a lot of money on an app that you may not use very often. Do note that they say it loads with an initial log in screen, but they say you can override this and you do not need to join or log in, but they do say it’s worth it for additional features.

There is a UK version and you can also pick up the Free USA version as well.
