I Am T-Pain Developer: Smule Version: 1.5.0
This update is part of the app and requires no additional in app purchase and it is the same great app! iPhone 3GS requires iOS 4 to use the T-Pain Video feature. You can’t view tuning settings and lyrics while shooting video (because it’s a rear facing camera).
Smule has released a major update to the “I Am T-Pain” application that allows users to capture video recordings T-Pain style in Auto-Tune. The update uses the new iOS 4video services as well as the iPhone 4 front-facing camera.
So the major difference is that now there is video evidence of your singing! This is a great integration and is a pretty fun addition to the app. I had a go and gotta say that it’s just not something I want to post on the Internet – but for those of you who do- you can share and stream your recording through email, facebook, Twitter and of course on Smule’s Sonic Network. I personaly haven’t tried these but it’s for your own safety.
Here is a power user T-Pain-ing the world around him: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yE04W1btdtA
Their current figures for the app stand at more than 1,551,809 “I Am T-Pain” users. They have created a whopping 29,616,687 recordings using the app.
From Smule:
