Starting to feel a lot like Grinchmas?

What makes for a more delightful Christmas then Dr. Suess? Well, Dr. Seuss and the Grinch means that Christmas this year is complete on your device.  Oceanhouse Media have just released 3 wonderful apps, and their latest offering was approved yesterday on the AppStore and is “How The Grinch Stole Christmas” eBook.

Are you as excited as me? I couldn’t wait to get this downloaded and put on my iPhone. It has to be one of my all time favorite reads and for this review I will nab my youngest son and get him to read it to me! (It has two modes, one where there is a narrator and the other is where you read it like a traditional book.)

They also have a fun little game “Grinchmas” which is new to the app store for the holidays. This is just a quick game the kids can play, its bright and cheerful and you can be a nice grinch, or a more traditional grinch and be a cranky character!

Grinchmas $1.99

It’s been featured by Apple, listed on CNET and seems to be making it’s own way to stardom fast! It’s always kind of nice to get a few holiday apps and if you are a fan of the books or want to introduce your kids to the characters then this may be one to try.

Dr. Seuss Camera $2.99

They also have Dr Seuss Camera app, which makes a nice completion to this set. On it you can create ‘Grinchmas Cards’ and other designs, 20 to be precise, which you edit and change with your photos. You can then email them out or save them in your photos.

This might be my favorite of the three. There seems to be really well thought out screens and the kids will have a lot of fun making themselves look silly.

Overall a really nice set of three well designed apps with the fabulous Dr. Seuss story elements in them. I’m hoping they find the Christmas spirit too and give us a few sale prices for the holiday season!
